Just found out the program will not work with W7 HP & OL2007 the file is sent and received at the other end the same size. Very dissapointing. It may well work on Vista, but not on W7. Perhaps the programmers will take note and test and/or revise as we are all looking for this type of app.

This is a great app, but seems to use an inordinate amount of CPU, even when idle or disabled.

Not a 100% CPU locked situation, just regular small spikes that, watched over time, add up to a lot of CPU for doing nothing. Just looking at 'CPU Time' in Task Manager one can see the large amount being used. In fact it uses far more CPU than my mail app itself, Thunderbird. Right now, even though it has processed 0 files, it has consumed three times as much CPU as Thunderbird.

I'm not sure what it thinks it needs to do when I'm not even composing an email?

Since I use ShrinkPic with Outlook 2007 and Windows 7 (Home Premium) I have problems with ShrinkPic (version1.8). It compresses the files (this message is shown onthe screen). Also behind the filename to be sent by email a smaller filesize is shown. But when I actually send the mail, I see again the original filesize. How can this be solved?

Hi Amir

Indeed on the security settings, great on investigating this further and look forward to updates. Did test with running the app as admin and even compatability mode for XP SP3.

Hi David,

I'm very glad to hear it's also working on Windows 7. Didn't try it yet myself.

It's supposed to work on WLM, but it's a bit tricky. Windows security settings change the way Shrink Pic works, so it works for some and not for others.

We're investigating it.

Hi

Love your app, a friend needed a suggestion on something to automatically shrink pics, and well your app fits the bill perfectly. I ended up blogging about it here http://bit.ly/WDdvi

Also it seems to work fine in the RC version of Windows 7 x64.

Couldn't get it to work in Windows Live Mail though so hope at some point you add support?

Regards
